The figure is a life-size bronze cowboy statue depicting Red Steagall on horseback gesturing to passers-by. An active member of the local community, Mr. Steagall is an American actor, musician, poet, and stage performer specializing in the American western and country music genres. This artwork celebrates the 29th anniversary of the Red Steagall Cowboy Party and pays homage to the man who started it all.

On a sunny day, the bronze statue of a cowboy on horseback looks very real and vivid. It was as if Mr. Steagall was actually sitting on a horse and participating in the event. His clothing shows the style of a Western cowboy, especially the typical Western cowboy hat and jacket, which brings us back to the arrogant and unruly Western desert. To us, they are heroes galloping through the wilderness of the West.
Legendary cowboy Red Steagall:
The sculpture was created by Bruce Greene, a member of the Cowboy Artists Association of America. The name of the sculpture is “Always Ride for the Brand”. The bronze cowboy sculpture depicts the legendary cowboy performer Red Steagall on horseback. The bronze horse and cowboy sculptures are located at Where the West Begins in Fort Worth, Texas. The sculpture, which measures 8 feet tall with a 2-foot base, is located on the east lawn of Cowboytown Stadium.
Red’s dedication to preserving the Western way of life was a true expression of who he was. This bronze cowboy statue also commemorates his contribution to cowboy culture and the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.
